County Departments and Offices
The City-County Building and other county office buildings are closed to the public. More Information.
A drop box is located outside the Martin Luther King Jr. entrance for payments and communications that cannot be provided electronically or by mail.
If you have an appointment in the building, please call the Department when you arrive and staff will let you in.
The Aging and Disability Resource Center and the Dane County Job Center are now open. In order to maintain social distancing, both sites are limiting the number of visitors in the building. All other offices are closed to the public until further notice.
All essential services are offered to the public online or by phone.
Human Services can provide assistance with the following programs: Unemployment, Emergency Assistance, W-2, FoodShare, BadgerCare, Housing Assistance, and Mental Health.More Information

United Way 2-1-1 provides a free and confidential service that helps find the local resources they need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In-person tax collection has been temporarily suspended. The public can pay taxes online or by mail.
The County Clerk's office is closed to the public and is not accepting in-person appointments.
Staff are available to assist with marriage licenses and domestic partnerships by phone (608-266-4121) or email.
Register of Deeds
The office is closed to the public, unless an appointment is made.

Dane County Courts have implemented a number of temporary emergency measures.More Information
Parks are open for public use and enjoyment.
Facilities within parks, such as restrooms and campgrounds, remain closed.
